Wright’s Emporium, Llanarthne
Anyone who knows anything about food in Wales will have heard of Simon Wright, restaurateur, writer, innovator and all-round gastro-guru. So you can be sure that his latest venture is worth visiting. It’s a clever combination of café/bistro, shop and wine cellar on the back road – and best route – to Carmarthen. So do yourself a favour, take the B4300 from Llandeilo to Carmarthen and stop off. The coffee is made with the precision known only to five-star baristas. It’s just great, along with the way the breakfasts, lunches and suppers bring an informed, metropolitan métier to rural Wales.
