The Isle of Anglesey is the largest island off the coast of Wales and boast stunning scenery and landscapes as well as having the Snowdonia mountain range as a backdrop. There are many things to keep you entertained on the island from castles and country houses to gardens and blue flag beaches, there’s something for everyone. The Wales Coast Path also runs right round the coastline of Anglesey with the majority of it within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so remember to pack your camera! For those of you seeking a little adventure whilst on the island there are an abundance of activities available to you including windsurfing, kite surfing, sea kayaking, surfing and coasteering. Situated on the south east of the island you will find the town of Beaumaris which boasts spectacular views across the Menai Strait towards Snowdonia. With it’s Victorian pier and medieval castle it’s a must visit for anyone venturing onto the island. Stay a few days and enjoy the growing culinary scene with lots of artisan produce and quirky surroundings. The Isle of Anglesey is also home to the town with the largest name in Europe, Llanfairpwllgwingyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch…..did you manage to say it?!
