TREFLOYNE MANOR (Tenby)

Trefloyne comes with many strings to its bow. It’s part of a testing 18-hole parkland golf complex. But we need to say straight away that you don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy a stay at this stunning property, which goes from strength to strength. The five original rooms in the Manor – spacious, bathed in light, dressed with warm fabrics and finished with a pleasing contemporary simplicity– have recently been added to by seven rooms created from a beautiful barn. Here again, bespoke individuality in design and décor is much in evidence. And even non-golfers will love the views of the course and ancient woodland. Trefloyne, run by brother and sister Tom Beynon and Sarah Knight, also serves up good, wholesome food in its Orangery restaurant and bar. It’s in a tranquil spot, yet is just a five-minute drive from popular Tenby and south Pembrokeshire’s sandy coastline. Self-catering, as featured in our sister publication The Rare Hideaways Guide, is also available.
