Deep Fried Asparagus

INGREDIENTS



METHOD

  1. Cut the chunky, tough ends off the asparagus.
  2. Beat the egg, then dip the asparagus spears into the egg yolk, and then roll in the breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry in a deep fat fryer for just a minute or two, drain and serve while hot and crispy.
  4. This recipe goes well with some hollandaise sauce, or just a squeeze of lemon,  or a sweet chilli sauce, and a fresh, herby green salad.
