What a location! Sygun Fawr stands high on a hillside above the village of Beddgelert, with an inspiring view up the Gwynant Valley to the highest mountains in the Snowdonia National Park. Solid, stone-built Sygun Fawr was originally a 17th-century Welsh manor house. It’s full of atmospheric period features, with low beams, exposed stone walls, cosy nooks and crannies and an inglenook fireplace. Amongst the attractively refurbished bedrooms guests have the choice of two deluxe rooms with truly spectacular views. You can also admire the surroundings from a new conservatory. The expected modern amenities are all here, apart from televisions (a deliberate omission).
