The tiny cathedral city of St David’s may be blessed spiritually but it isn’t awash with places to rest your head. Thankfully, there's The Grove. This recently renovated, welcoming small hotel has a fresh spring in its step. There are - quite apart from its rarity value - many reasons to stay.
The tastefully decorated bedrooms come complete with plasma TVs and WiFi, and the choice of food ranges from great-value bar menus.... to fine dining. Outside, there is a beautifully landscaped walled garden.
The Grove is a very green place, having won the Welsh Assembly Government’s Climate Change Pub Challenge. It’s located opposite the superb Oriel y Parc visitor centre, and has private car parking (another St David’s rarity).
When you've visited the centre you'll be inspired to explore the magical Celtic coastline of St David's Peninsula. Your hosts at The Grove are Celia and Chris Greensalde.
